[ Zhongli will croon slightly when lifted up by Childe once again. His tail wagging happily as he's placed on Childe's shoulder where he'll basically splat himself down with a content huff. He'll rub a soft scaled cheek against Childe's as he gives a soft rumble of a reply, nodding at the other's words. He much prefers this over the fireplace, mostly so he can keep an eye and watch Childe prepare his favorite dish and tea, but the warmth of synchronicity helps give him more heat than the actual fire would. ]

[ for Childe, their synchrony helps a lot. it's only recently from their fallout that he realized how much it calms him and keeps him in a mentally sound place. it's a little bit co-dependent but he hasn't spoken to Zhongli if it, afraid it will make the other feel obligated to be around him in that way. Although things between them are much better, Childe struggles both with trust issues in concerns to Zhongli's feelings towards him as much as coming to terms with what he did to someone he's supposedly in love with. I he doesn't

Luckily, these thoughts don't plague him now. He likes the company while cooking, and makes a small aw sound at feeling the rubbing against his cheek. He doesn't know exactly why, but he feels just so content like this, spending time with Zhongli even if not in his human form. As he does the soup, he will offer small pieces of the ingredients for the small dragon to eat in order to "test" if they are cooking properly and to his liking. I've all the ingredients are in the pot and the broth is approved by the little dragon, Childe will let it cook while he goes to make the tea now that the water is boiling. ]

It I put it in a teacup, you can still drink it in that form, right? Or would a milk saucer be better... ?

[ Zhongli will take those bits of food with small claws as he nibbles on them to make sure the taste is just right. Surprisingly, or not so much, Childe is a rather adept cook so it does come out tasting just fine in his opinion. His approval is shown with a nudge at Childe's cheek again.

But in regards to tea he nods in acknowledgment, tail wagging, as looks back at Childe. A teacup is just fine for him so he lets out a soft huff as he points with a claw towards the cupboard storing the cups. ]

[ good thing Childe knows how to easily take hints, so he'll simply from and go to move towards the gestured-at cupboard for the teacups to get both Zhongli and himself one each. ]

Don't burn your tongue by being too impatient, okay? [ is all he says when the water is boiled and he's put it into the teapot to brew before finally pouring some into the teacups a short time later. He'll let Zhongli have the chance to climb down his shoulder to get at his teacup on the counter as Childe moves back to the pot of soup to stir it. ]

[ There's a huff from the small dragon as he nods and even folds its arms over its scaled chest. The action is very Zhongli, iconic really, as he awaits for the tea to arrive, which he will take in his tiny claws and sip quietly once it does.

A few more sips later and a contented huff is let out as his tail sways happily behind him. This tea is perfect and Childe will get the hint as Zhongli purrs happily with it. ]

The tea has come out perfect. I thank you for brewing it, Childe. I also apologize for my current state. [ The voice of Zhongli will finally erupt through the silence as he finally speaks. Seems like the tea did more than just warm him up! ] You have my gratitude.
